Reserve your date for a five-day DIY Install Clinic at Big Beard Battery in Athens, Texas.

This clinic is for RV owners who want to install their own custom power system but would rather have an experienced team nearby than figure out every detail alone. You will work on your own RV using a system plan built around your travel goals, with the tools, workspace, and support needed to make real progress.

We strongly encourage you to complete our System Design Form and speak with our team before purchasing a clinic deposit. This allows us to review your RV, power goals, project scope, comfort level, and timeline—and confirm that the clinic is the right fit before you reserve a date.

How the process works

1. Submit the System Design Form. Tell us about your RV, how you travel, and what you want to power.
2. Talk with our team. Review your goals, system scope, questions, and clinic readiness.
3. Reserve an available date. Select your preferred clinic week and purchase this $1,000 deposit.
4. Finalize your components. Approve your custom system plan and component package before the clinic.
5. Arrive ready to build. Bring your RV to Athens and complete your installation with our team nearby.

What the deposit covers

This $1,000 deposit reserves one limited clinic spot and represents half of the $2,000 clinic fee. The remaining $1,000 clinic fee is due no later than 30 days before your selected clinic date.

The deposit does not include system components or additional installation labor.

Component purchase requirement

Clinic participants purchase the components for their approved system from Big Beard Battery. Your package will include our batteries along with the solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, monitoring, cabling, protection, and other equipment required by your design.

What the five-day clinic looks like

• Day 1: Review the system plan, organize components, prepare the RV, and begin the installation.
• Days 2–4: Continue the build with our team available for questions, progress checks, and guidance.
• Day 5: Complete finishing work, review the installation, test the system, and celebrate the week.

Your role and our role

This is a do-it-yourself clinic: you are responsible for completing the installation on your RV. Our team provides guidance, answers questions, checks progress, and reviews the system before departure. Hands-on work requested from the Big Beard Battery Install Team may carry an additional charge.

Tools and accommodations

We provide all necessary tools—you do not need to bring any. If you have a drill set you prefer using, you’re welcome to bring it, including your drill bits and charged batteries.

Your clinic experience includes access to a full-hookup RV site near the workshop so you can camp comfortably while working on your system.

Rescheduling, cancellation, and refunds

If a scheduling conflict arises, you may transfer your full deposit to another available DIY Install Clinic date. Cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to sales@bigbeardbattery.com.

• 60 or more days before the clinic: full refund minus the 3% credit-card processing charges.
• 30–59 days before the clinic: refund minus the 3% credit-card processing charges and a 10% cancellation fee.
• 15–29 days before the clinic: refund minus the 3% credit-card processing charges and a 20% cancellation fee.
• Fewer than 15 days before the clinic: the deposit is nonrefundable, but the full $1,000 deposit may be applied to a future clinic or installation fee.

Additional fees paid for components and the remaining clinic fee will be refunded in full, minus the 3% credit-card processing charges.
