Tune Up & Turn Out Rally and RVTAA/NRVIA Expo Highlight Big Beard Battery’s November Events

November is shaping up to be a big month for Big Beard Battery.

We’re bringing RV owners together for our inaugural Tune Up & Turn Out Rally, and less than two weeks later, we’ll shift gears to support RV technicians and inspectors as a Gold Sponsor of the 2026 RVTAA/NRVIA Expo.

Both events are happening right here in Athens, Texas, and both give us the chance to spend time with two groups that are incredibly important to what we do: the RV owners using these systems every day and the industry professionals helping keep them on the road.

First Up: Tune Up & Turn Out Rally

From November 10–13, 2026, Road Life Complex will be home to our first-ever Tune Up & Turn Out Rally.

This rally was created for RVers who enjoy having the freedom to travel their own way.

Some attendees are experienced boondockers with large off-grid systems who would happily camp miles from the nearest pedestal.

Others spend most of their time in RV parks but want a capable backup power system that gives them more flexibility when hookups aren’t available.

Both are welcome.

Our goal with Tune Up & Turn Out is simple: get people out of their RVs, bring them together and have a really good time.

Instead of building the event around rows and rows of vendor booths, we’re focusing on activities, experiences, conversations and plenty of opportunities to meet other RVers.

What’s Happening at the Rally?

We have four days packed with activities, including:

  • The Power Crawl, where attendees can tour other RVs and see real-world power setups

  • Power Olympics and other group competitions

  • Campfire socials

  • Chili and brisket cook-offs

  • Coffee and kolaches

  • A special Veterans Day recognition

  • Adventure Day activities

  • Facility tours

  • System Tune-Ups and private consultations

  • And a Friday finale that also happens to include Todd’s birthday celebration

Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunities to talk about batteries, solar, Victron systems and RV power along the way.

If you have questions about your system, want to see how someone else has theirs configured, or simply want to spend a few days with other people who understand why “no hookups” can sometimes be a selling point, you’ll fit right in.

Our Rally Sponsors Are Part of the Experience

We’re also excited to have some great RV industry companies supporting Tune Up & Turn Out.

Our sponsors currently include:

Victron Energy, Henderson’s Line-Up, Prime RV, Open Roads, Molecular Advanced Coatings and Micro-Air

We didn’t want this rally to feel like a traditional vendor marketplace, so our sponsors will be incorporated into activities, meals, experiences and other parts of the week.

It gives attendees a chance to get to know the companies and people behind the products and services they use without spending the entire rally walking up and down vendor aisles.

Then We’re Turning Our Attention to RV Technicians and Inspectors

After we wrap up the rally, we’ll have just enough time to catch our breath before the 2026 RVTAA/NRVIA Expo, taking place November 21–24.

Big Beard Battery is proud to participate as a Gold Sponsor and major supporter of the Expo.

The event brings together members of the RV Technicians Association of America and the National RV Inspectors Association for several days of professional development, networking and industry connection.

This is a community that means a lot to us.

Our founder, Todd Henson, is a Master Certified RV Technician and longtime RV industry instructor, and we regularly work with technicians, installers and inspectors from across the country.

These are the people RV owners depend on when something goes wrong, when they need an installation completed correctly or when they simply need someone who understands the systems inside their RV.

Expo Attendees Are Coming to Big Beard Battery

One of the parts we’re most excited about happens on Tuesday, November 24.

We’ll be welcoming approximately 100 RV technicians and inspectors to Big Beard Battery and Road Life Complex for a special half-day facility tour and training event.

Instead of trying to explain everything we do from an Expo booth, we’re bringing attendees directly into our facility.

Guests will start the morning with a light breakfast and then rotate through several stations with members of our team.

  • The Beard Behind the Battery

Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at Big Beard Battery assembly and learn more about what goes into the batteries we manufacture here in Texas.

  • My Installation Checklist

We’ll walk through some of the practical considerations our team uses when approaching RV power system installations.

  • Things to Check First

This station will focus on common troubleshooting considerations and some of the first things technicians should evaluate when working through a power-system issue.

  • Meet Li-Berty

Guests will also have an opportunity to tour Li-Berty, our 48.5-foot fifth-wheel demonstration RV, and take a closer look at the power system inside.

  • Become a Big Beard Battery Dealer or Installer

We’ll also spend time with businesses and technicians interested in learning more about working with Big Beard Battery as a dealer or authorized installer.

The goal is to make the morning practical, interactive and useful for professionals who are working with RV owners in the field every day.

One Busy Month — and We’re Looking Forward to It

Big Beard Battery is a Texas-based lithium power manufacturer specializing in custom RV off-grid and backup power systems.

We manufacture lithium batteries and work with RV owners on Victron Energy-based systems, solar, system design, installation and technical support.

November gives us the opportunity to spend time with both sides of that world.

At Tune Up & Turn Out, we get to enjoy a few days with the RV owners actually living and traveling with these systems.

At the RVTAA/NRVIA Expo, we get to support and connect with the technicians and inspectors helping those same RV owners across the country.

It’s going to be a busy month in Athens — and we’re looking forward to every bit of it.
